At the end of the chapter, we have Peter freed, Herod eaten by worms and died, and the Word of God growing and multiplying. Luke is showing us that the gospel is unstoppable. If you oppose the gospel, you may temporarily win, but you will finally lose and lose big. If you stand for the gospel, you may temporarily lose, but you will finally win and win big.

The apostles told the disciples to select seven trustworthy people that were known for being very wise and full of the Holy Spirit. Once these seven individuals were in charge of the task of handing out the food, the apostles could return to preaching the Word of God without any disruption.
