1 Nov JHB mayor signs agreement with the Africa Dispora facilitated by the South African Human Rights Commission
The Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Herman Mashaba has warned that over 115 000 people have illegally occupied buildings in the inner city, most of which are in appalling condition. Mashaba says he will engage both provincial and national governments, to help resolve the problem of illegal foreign nationals in the city. The Mayor has said he's spoken to human rights lawyers and the respective embassies, to help address the issue of illegal migrants in Johannesburg.
