President Jacob Zuma has recently announced that government will subsidise free higher education for poor and working class students. The move has been recieved with mixed reaction from analysts saying South Africa can easily afford this if we cut out the amount of government money currently being wasted on corruption and state capture. Some have said President Zuma's decision is simply unaffordable and will inevitably take funding away from other policies.
