Celebrity Guest Of The Week : NICHOLAS NKUNA | NICK SOUL

From his late grandmother's house on the streets of Mpumalanga, South Africa, Nicksoul has taken his combination of writing, acting and musical skills to the international shores of the US and the UK and continues to do so locally as well. His dreams started to become a reality when he obtained his National Diploma in Musical Theatre at TUT. His talent and exceptional work ethic afforded him the opportunity to further his performance training at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana (USA) as part of an exchange programme with the Tshwane University of Technology.
As his professional debut, he was dashing and strong as Dingaan in "Shaka Zulu The Musical" and memorable as the second actor of color to bring the title role to life in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera". Nicksoul became a South African treasure when he roared as Simba in Disney's UK and Ireland Tour of "The Lion King”. Nicholas has been nominated for the South African Broadway World Awards 2016 (Best Supporting Actor in a Featured Role) for his exceptional interpretation of Mingus in the classic play “Sophiatown" by Malcolm Purkey.

After gracing various local and international stages, Nicksoul landed his first TV role on SABC 1's youth drama "Skeem Saam". He was the runner-up on BET International's hit reality TV show "Top Actor SA". He has also starred in the SABC 3 series titled Roer Jou Voete. Nicholas scored another telenovela playing the role of Isaac in SABC 2's "Keeping Score". Nicksoul has also completed shooting the new season of "Erfsonders" and is now back on the TV screens as businessman Fikani Chauke in SABC 2's prime time soapie "7de Laan".
