Soyizwapi to lead injury ravaged Blitzbokke in Hong Kong and Singapore

Springbok Sevens coach Neil Powell says it was easy naming Siviwe Soyizwapi as the captain of the Blitzbokke ahead of the Hong Kong and Singapore legs of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. Powell also revealed that Soyizwapi has the respect of his teammates and that he had already led the team in the last two games in the Vancouver tournament when skipper Philip Snyman got injured. The 20-year-old wing Angelo Davids will make his debut for the team after being selected in place of the injured Muller du Plessis. Along with Davids, Ryan Oosthuizen replaces the injured Snyman while JC Pretorius will miss out due to injury with Werner Kok taking his place amongst the forwards and Kurt-Lee Arendse being part of the playing team. Chris Dry will travel with the team and serve as back-up. Powell says Davids has earned his call-up to the side.
