The cases of misconduct of EFF Chief Whip Floyd Shivambu and ANC MP Bongani Bongo will be handed over to the sixth Parliament. This is the decision of the Management Committee of Parliament's Joint Ethics and Members interest Committee. The committee met *yesterday to conclude its legacy report to be handed over to the sixth Parliament. The Ethics Committee was investigating Shivambu after he allegedly manhandled a journalist in the Parliamentary precinct last year. Bongo, a former State Security Minister was still being investigated following allegations of bribery. Former evidence leader Advocate Nthuthuzelo Vanara alleged that Bongo tried to bribe him in an effort to derail the Eskom Parliamentary inquiry into alleged state capture.
