#PODCAST: DBN High Court suspend the license of local security company, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA)

By Newsbreak Producer Bongani Gema - The Durban High Court has ruled that the license of local security company, Reaction Unit South Africa, be suspended. In June RUSA was suspended by the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority for allegedly violating the code of conduct. In response to this, RUSA sought an urgent interdict at the Durban High Court and were victorious. Following this, the matter was heard in July and judgment was delivered on Friday where the judge ruled that their licence be suspended and that PSiRA should hear the appeal. PSIRA's senior manager for law enforcement, Jan Sambo, says the suspension is expected to run until the finalisation of the hearing. Meanwhile, Prem Balram, Director of Reaction Unit South Africa, says their attorneys are preparing to challenge the court's decision...
