In an effort to address financial challenges plaguing the Magareng municipality at Warrenton in the Northern Cape, the municipality has implemented an incentive scheme to help residents pay their municipal accounts. Residents and government departments in the area qualify for discounts on interest and penalties charged on their accounts, when they pay or settle their bills. Residents qualify for 100 percent discount on interest, if they pay their accounts within a month.
