The National AIDS Council, SANAC, says the Commission for Gender Equality report into the forced sterilisation of HIV positive women, reaffirms concerns that HIV positive people are still stigmatised in South Africa. The report by the Commission found that close to 50 HIV positive women were forced into sterilisation at 15 hospitals in KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng.
