SA Wine Legend - Peter Finlayson
--:--
Peter Finlayson, known as South Africa's Pioneer of Pinot Noir, made history by taking on the challenge of setting up and running the first winery in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley (Hamilton Russell Vineyards in 1979).
His success in establishing this cellar became legendary, culminating in the 1989 Diners Club Winemaker of the Year Award for his achievements with the Pinot Noir grape (a grape largely unknown to the South African wine industry at the time!).
Listen to Peter's captivating stories filled with an undeniable passion for the vine, art of winemaking and the Hemel-en-Aarde valley!
