Health Minister, Dr Zweli Mkhize, says he has instructed provincial officials to ensure an adequate supply of personal protective equipment is made available to health facilities. This after the National Education Health and Allied Workers Union ( NEHAWU) threatened strike action next month - should their demands, for favourable working conditions in the health sector, not be met. NEHAWU claims that many health facilities do not have an adequate PPE supplies - and that employees were forced to work despite having contracted Covid19.
