#PODCAST: A group of paediatric specialists call on government to re-open schools for ALL learners

The Paediatrician Management Group (PMG) and the South African Paediatric Association (SAPA) have been speaking out against government's decision to close public schools, saying the decision is not based on scientific evidence. President Cyril Ramaphosa declared that schools will close for a four-week period from July 27 to August 24 amid rising COVID-19 infections, but with exceptions. Grade 12 pupils remained at home for one week, and Grade 7 pupils for two weeks.
