GORMLEY - NANCY WOOD - SEPTEMBER 23
Nancy Wood, owner of the Hawood Inn, isn't happy after Métis leader Glen McCallum ignored COVID-19 protocols during a visit to her hotel for a two-day meeting last week. After McCallum's positive diagnosis, the hotel was forced to close until at least Friday while cleaning and disinfection is completed. Wood says the incident has affected her finances, her staff's finances, and the mental health of everyone involved. She says she's hoping the Métis Nation—Saskatchewan compensates her for the expenses and lost business, and she joins Gormley to explain the huge impact one patron's carelessness had on her business.
