EP11: World Prematurity Day - 17 November

--:--
World Prematurity Day is observed on 17 November to raise awareness of preterm birth and the concerns of preterm babies and their families worldwide. Nicole Canin joined us in studio and worked to unpack the impact of a preterm baby. In addition to sharing practical tips and advice, we explore the emotions of guilt, judgement, loss, failure and post partum depression. Nicole is the Chairperson of the Gauteng Association for Infant Mental Health, she is a counselling psychologist and is currently completing her PhD which focusses on the developing relationship between premature infants and parents in the NICU. Nicole offers hope, wisdom and insight to parents.
