The cost of a complete COVID-19 vaccine regimen for South Africa is estimated at above 2-point-1 billion rand, with the first batch of immunizations expected only in the second quarter of next year. That was revealed in statement issued by the Department of Health that affirmed the country's participation in the global COVAX facility. A down payment of 327 million rand and that first payment will be made by December 15th from the country's solidarity fund.
