"Homeground" is two hours dedicated to the finest South African music, from both legends and emerging stars. The show is broadcast every Thursday from the Fine Music Radio studios in Cape Town, South Africa and then archived here. "Homeground" is presented and compiled by Evan Milton, a long-standing music journalist, broadcaster and South African Music Awards judge. The show leans towards jazz, but stretches to multiple "genres", and features interviews with local musicians about their gigs and records. Previous guests include Hugh Masekela, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Louis Moholo Moholo, Tutu Pouane, Sathima Bea Benjamin, Abdullah Ibrahim, Kesivan Naidoo, Kyle Shepherd, Shane Cooper, Mandis Dyantis... you get the idea.

5 December, 2019: Award winning guitarists Derek Gripper and Guy Buttery will play a "one night only" show in Cape Town on Wednesday 11 December. Evan Milton showcases their musical interpretations of the Malian kora tradition, Bach, Indian classical music, Egberto Gismonti and contemporary South African jazz influences like Thandi Ntuli and Ronan Skillen. Also includes interviews with Derek and Guy - and brand new tracks from Buttery's new album "Nadi", and unreleased tracks by Gripper, including a transposition of Salif Keita's "Ama Na Ding".
