‘Proper leadership lacked in assessing mine’ - BMF

The Black Management Forum (BMF) is of the view that the Jagersfontein disaster has proven the importance of proper managerial leadership in organisations. The town was flooded with mud after a mine dam burst - affected more than 200 residents. Harrismith businesses affected by power outage

Businesses in Harrismith in the Eastern Free are starting to close their doors due to persisting power outages. This is according to the HIT Residents Association Chairperson, Willem Konig, who tells OFM News's Mpho Mohapi that the town was without electricity since Monday, 5 September 2022, until Monday 12 September 2022. Power was briefly restored but went out again.
