The seizure of Mozambique's key port of Palma by jihadist militants has marked an unprecedented turning point in this conflict impacting southern Africa. Reports are saying even with reinforcements in the form of Russian and South African soldiers, the Mozambican armed forces seem powerless and incapable of holding back the advance of jihadist fighters from al-Shabab. Nghamula Chauke spoke to South African born Tshiamo Maseko-Poisson whose organisation, Raising Voices For Cabo Delgado is helping victims of this disaster.
