Making a case for third party insurance

Out of the 12 million-odd cars on South Africa’s roads, only a mere third are insured. This is according to Christelle Colman, spokesperson for Old Mutual Insure. She says on the Business Hour that this ups the chances that you’re going to fork up the money for an accident, even if it wasn’t your fault. Coleman was making a case for the return of third party insurance in the country, seeing as the Road Accident Fund isn’t the success many hoped it would be.
