Access to financing is the biggest challenge to the growth of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs). This is according to Don Mashele the Head of Business Development Impact Support at the Small Enterprise Finance Angency (Sefa). Sefa aims to mitigate this challenge by offering financing options. Mashele says distance to the offices of institutions like Sefa is also a huge problem facing many small businesses in rural towns. And it is here that their partners like the Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) come in.
