The Ballito community has reacted with surprise and anger at the proposed sale of a portion of Townsend Park in Ballito by the KD Municipality. The invitation to submit comments or objections was slipped into a newspaper advert on tuesday giving just thirty days for written objections to be emailed to municipalmanager@kwadukuza.gov.za
Community leaders and organisations are again preparing to oppose the sale of the park as public open space is there for all to enjoy and should be protected in perpetuity.
