Cyber affairs could be solely emotional or people may exchange sensual messages and the relationships may escalate to the physical. Dr Eve offers insight into how this behaviour can affect couples in real life. Dr Eve gets to the crux of the matter, saying: "We have an explosion and a revolution of relationships with technology now. As you know, when any new technology comes on, things change, the old ways get very disrupted, so I became very curious about how love, sexuality and intimacy were being disrupted with technology, and that's when I began to do research into online sexual behaviour and relationships."
