How Riveiro Proved Everyone Wrong!

--:--
Orlando Pirates assigned Jose Riveiro as head coach just under a year ago and many Buccaneer fans were skeptical of this appointment. Some even went as far as calling the Spaniard a 'plumber.' Riveiro can rest easy knowing that he proved Mzansi wrong this season. He helped Pirates to 2 trophies in the 2022/23 season, which include the MTN8 and the Nedbank Cup. Riviero also helped Pirates to claim the second spot on the log, behind Mamelodi Sundowns, and secured the club CAF Champions League Football. This is an outstanding start to what could be a fantastic career at Pirates.

Mamelodi Sundowns stole the show at the recent 2022/23 PSL End-Of-Season Awards, with 7 of the individual awards being won by Downs players. These awards included player of the season, manager of the season, defender, midfielder, and young player of the season. Mamelodi Sundowns seemed unstoppable in the league and it does not look as though their dominance will be ending any time soon. Many fans have been left scratching their heads, trying to understand how some of their favourite players missed out on these awards, with some suggesting that the awards ceremony was biased towards the Brazilians.

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi reacts to Orlando Pirates' Nedbank Cup Victory, marking coach Riveiro his second trophy of the season. The fans voice their opinions on the recent PSL Awards which saw Mamelodi Sundowns claim 7 individual accolades on the night!
