A NEW PRODUCTION OF Willy Russell’s classic comedy Educating Rita has just opened at the Theatre on the Bay. It’s produced by Tally Ho productions and the original music is written by Jonathan Blair. I invited Jonathan to the People of Note studio to talk about his score and also about his many commissions which include, opera, concertos, chamber music, song cycles and stop motion film scores. Although Jonathan was born in San Diego California, he new lives in Cape Town where he has collaborated with some of this country’s most important artists.
