La Bri Affinity 2021

TASTING NOTES
Plush with ripe berries brushed with mocha on velvet palate. Fine tannins and supporting acidity

THE STORY
The components of this Bordeaux Style Blend must have a special Affinity for each other – otherwise the wine is not made. We skipped the 2018 and 2019 vintage for this reason. The varietal percentages also vary according to the vintage with Cabernet always dominant.

IN THE CELLAR
The components were separately vinified and matured. Barrel selection for the blend occurred after 18 months of maturation of the individual components in 10% new French oak.

BLEND INFORMATION
71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot 6% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc

BOTANICAL SKETCH
Each of our wines is linked to a specific flower – the characteristics of the wine are symbolized by that particular flower on the label.

Geissorhiza radians (Wine Cup)
Geissorhiza radians has a very attractive deep blue flower with a red centre. The Wine cup (Kelkiewyn) represents the core-wine of our range The Affinity Blend.

Alcohol 13.87 % vol RS 2.0 g/l pH 3.63 Total Acid 6.2 g/l
