Rodney Trudgeon’s guest on People of Note this week is the distinguished South African flautist Liesl Stolz who not only lectures Flute at UCT but has a very busy life playing chamber music, solo works and she’s played in all the major orchestras in South Africa as guest principal. Liesl has also launched the first Woodwind Festival in South Africa which takes place from the 8 – 11 April at the Baxter Theatre. Her passion for the flute and music is most infectious and she is also a great ambassador for South African flute music.
