IN CONVERSATION WITH EMMA VEN DER WALT

Loading player...
Emma van der Walt is a South African pastor, author, and humanitarian who has dedicated her life to rescuing and rehabilitating victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Ordained at the age of 25, Emma initially served in pastoral ministry alongside her husband. But over time, she felt a divine calling to step beyond the walls of the church and into some of the darkest, most dangerous corners of society. This led her to establish Brave to Love in 2017 — a nonprofit organization committed to confronting the horrors of human trafficking and restoring dignity and hope to survivors. With a powerful blend of faith, courage, and conviction, Emma and her team conduct weekly outreaches in red-light districts, working closely with law enforcement and global partners to locate, rescue, and support women trapped in cycles of abuse.
