Activists and Citizens Forum is extremely disappointed with the below par performance of Members of Parliament (MPs) sitting on the Ad-Hoc Committee.
The Ad-Hoc Committee was established to investigate the serious allegations made by General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi that the criminal justice system is infiltrated by criminals and that the Minister of Police is part of these syndicates. Furthermore, there was political interference from the Minister of Police, Senzo Mchunu.
According to our understanding, that is the subject of investigation. To our disappointment, instead of asking relevant and pointed questions in line with the subject, these (MPs) across the board are busy with party political finger pointing wanting to score cheap political points.
It is very clear to us that these MPs don't have a clue of their mandate. They are more interested in TV cameras and playing for the gallery.
