Namibia has confirmed its first case of Mpox in Swakopmund, sparking a nationwide health alert. Authorities have declared an outbreak in line with WHO protocols and are racing to trace contacts. The infected patient is in stable condition, and the Ministry of Health says isolation facilities are ready. With Mpox already spreading across 17 African countries, Namibia now joins the continent’s growing battle against the virus.
