A new bill, The Rent Control Act, was just introduced by the Saskatchewan NDP’s leader, Carla Beck, in the hopes of limiting rental cost increases costing Saskatchewan renters significant increases in expenses each year. There is concern that rent control measures might do more harm than good, however. Evan speaks with Landon Field, Rental Housing Saskatchewan CEO, to learn more about some of the potential consequences of rent control in the province, if introduced.
