New research from the University of Saskatchewan and University of Manitoba shows that more human–polar bear encounters are driven by bears spending longer on shore—not hunger—based on over a decade of observations and sea ice data. Joining Brent to talk about these majestic animals is Douglas Clark, a University of Saskatchewan professor and one of the lead researchers on the study.
