Wycliffe Nduga Ouma is the East Africa Regional Lead Researcher and a Research Associate at the Centre on African Philanthropy and Social Investment, where he manages the Centre’s research portfolio and oversees CAPSI research associates. He also coordinates the academic components of the African Philanthropy Conference and leads research for the Mastercard Foundation project. Holding a Ph.D. in Financial Economics, Wycliffe specializes in risk and returns in less developed markets, blending rigorous financial economics insights with philanthropy and social investment research. He was a pioneering author in the inaugural International Review on Philanthropy and Social Investment journal, contributing research on corporate philanthropy and firm value in Africa, and has recently co-authored African Philanthropy: Philanthropic Responses to COVID-19 and Development Goals in Africa. Wycliffe has also served on the board and remains an active member of the International Society for Third Sector Research, reinforcing his commitment to advancing African-led research in philanthropy and development.
