Mind Your Money with Roxanna Naidoo from Latita Africa

Today on Mind Your Money, if you’ve ever ignored a SARS email, delayed filing your tax return, or thought “they probably won’t notice,” this conversation may be for you.

South Africa’s new SARS commissioner has issued a strong warning to taxpayers, saying SARS may need to intensify collections efforts as government faces growing financial pressure. And with tax season around the corner, experts are warning that non-compliance, late submissions, and outstanding returns could end up costing South Africans far more than they expect.

The reality is that SARS is becoming increasingly digital, data-driven, and far less forgiving when it comes to tracking outstanding taxes and identifying irregularities.

So on this episode, we’re unpacking what these changes mean for ordinary working South Africans, who should actually be concerned, and how taxpayers can stay compliant without feeling overwhelmed by the process.

Joining us to break it all down is Ms Roxanna Naidoo, Director of Global Strategy at Latita Africa.
