The latest round of U.S. tariffs may have a relatively modest impact on Canada’s overall GDP, but the human cost could be much greater, with some economists estimating as many as 90,000 Canadian jobs could be lost if the tariffs remain in place. Does the Carney government need to be more transparent about what was in the deal it rejected and why it decided walking away was worth the economic pain?
