IN CONVERSATION WITH SIPHO MAGOSA

Sipho Magosa, the founder of Sipho Magosa Media, began his journey in the music industry from a leased backroom in Madidi, North West, with a secondhand BlackBerry and a camera. His passion for music led him to pursue a career in the industry, despite facing numerous rejections. Magosa's mentorship by Kevin Mdubeki since 2008 played a significant role in his development, and he managed artists such as DJ Monoti at Triple 9 and Kalawa Jazmee. His challenge to the industry's tendency to dismiss new talent without an established following motivated him to create music brands for independent and up-and-coming musicians. Magosa's vision is not about ownership but empowerment, building bridges for artists to cross into mainstream success without losing their identity
