Sidney Hill was driving out of his Pinetown driveway for a quick trip to the shops with his children when he noticed a car behaving suspiciously.

It moved closer, stopped and crept forward again. Then, as his family came under attack, Hill had to act fast to protect them.

The attempted hijacking happened on 9 October.

Dashcam footage of the incident later spread online.

Hill, a single father who works in private security, described the ordeal when he spoke to Martin Bester, Philicity Reeken and Xola Nthsinga on Breakfast with Martin Bester.
