The North West University (NWU) has obtained a court interdict which bans any protest action after disruptions at the Mafikeng campus yesterday.

The registration process for first year students started yesterday and according to spokesperson, Louis Jacobs, students will now only be allowed to register online.

Jacobs says the registration process at the other two campuses went ahead without any disruptions.

Jacobs says they will continue to monitor the situation at all three campuses.
