Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected to bring some relief later this week in the Free State. Michael Nethavhani from the South African Weather Service in Bloemfontein says there is a 60% chance of rain over the whole of the Free State on Wednesday, continuing until to Friday. He says this is due to a low pressure system from the western part of the country.

According to Nethavhani scattered showers and thundershowers might occur in the Northern and Eastern Free Sate as well as the central part of North West due to moisture moving through from Botswana this afternoon. These conditions are expected to continue until tomorrow.
