Convicted Abathembu King Buyelekhaya Dalinyebo has been discharged from hospital and is back at the East London Correctional Centre.
He was admitted to a private hospital in January after going on a hunger strike soon after he was jailed.
Correctional services spokesperson, Manelisi Wolela, says Dalinyebo returned to prison on Wednesday.
Wolela would not however comment on a rumour that Dalinyebo had to be forcefully removed from hospital, saying that they do not comment on operational matters.
Dalindyebo is serving a 12 year sentence for kidnapping, arson and defeating the ends of justice.
