The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Student Command at the University of the Free State’s Bloemfontein campus will do whatever it takes to stand up against racism and ensure black students are protected at all times. EFF provincial chairperson, Kgotso Morapela, has admitted that its student command has been at the forefront of the violenc taking place at institutions of higher learning. He says contract workers and students had every right to retaliate when they were beaten up by white people at a Varsity Cup rugby match between Shimlas and Madibas at Shimla Park last Monday.

Morapela says the EFF will not compromise on racists and will ensure that institutions like the UFS will not go ahead with business as usual.
