SA’s land reform programmes negatively impacted by drought

The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform says the drought conditions have had a negative impact on the country’s land reform programme.

In a reply to written questions in Parliament, Minister Gugile Nkwinti said livestock deaths and lower crop yields will have a negative impact on sustainable livelihoods.

Andre Grobler reports that this means land reform participants will have less income to continue farming.
