Spokesperson, Khulu Phasiwe says the maintenance has been planned during holidays and long weekends.
Phasiwe is urging people to remember to turn off appliances and geysers when they aren't at home or when the appliances aren't in use.
The power utility hasn't implemented load shedding for the past seven months.
