R31 between Kuruman and Hotazel closed due to protests

Northern Cape police are monitoring the situation on the R31 between Kuruman and Hotazel after protesters have barricaded the road since early this morning. Police spokesperson, Olebogeng Tawana, says vehicles including delivery trucks from the local mines do not have access to the road about 25km from Kuruman towards Hotazel.

Tawana urged motorists to use alternative roads.
