'Jobs for sale' report: FS Sadtu allegations false - Makgoe

Free State Education MEC, Tate Makgoe, says allegations made by the South African Democratic Teachers Union (Sadtu) regarding a leaked report on the so-called 'jobs for sale' scandal are false. In a statement, Makgoe denied claims that he'd said the teachers union was a problem and contributed to the devaluation of education in the country. The leaked report was compiled after a national ministerial task team was established by Basic Education Minister, Angie Motshekga, following media reports about the alleged selling of teaching posts and Sadtu's involvement therein. Free State Education Department spokesperson, Howard Ndaba, would not comment further on the matter.
