Free State Sadtu members "have had enough"

Members of the South African Democratic Teachers Union (Sadtu) in the Free State say they have had enough of the many issues crippling progress within the department of education.

Sadtu’s provincial secretary, Makholoane Moloi, says these include unpaid school subsidies. He says schools which obtain a pass rate of less than 80% are regarded as dysfunctional, which demotivates teachers.

He says a series of issues will be underlined in a memorandum that will be delivered to Premier Ace Magashule during a protest march next week.
