An analysis of crash data on the N3 Toll Route indicates that driver attitude has a big influence on driver behaviour, which leads to traffic violations and accidents.
The N3 Toll Route is one of South Africa’s main traffic routes linking the inland provinces with KwaZulu-Natal and is managed by the N3 Toll Concession.
A company spokesperson, Con Roux says research and evidence indicate that ‘human behaviour and risky behaviour’ are major caused of crashes on the route. He urges motorists to be patient on the journey to holiday destinations.
