Niell Jordaan has been named at the Toyota Free State Cheetahs captain ahead of their Currie Cup clash against the Pumas in Nelspruit.
The centre, Francois Venter and Oupa Mohoje have been called up to the Springbok, forcing the team to name a new skipper.
The eighthman, Jasper Wiese, who also a Cheetahs Academy graduate, is on debut for the side. Junior Pokomela will also make his Currie Cup debut for the Free State, but he will be playing off the bench.
