People of Note - Peter Martens

Rodney Trudgeon’s guest on People of Note this week is the well known South African cellist and Artistic Director of the Stellenbosch University Camerata, DR PETER MARTENS who has occupied principal positions in various orchestras in South Africa and is also the Director of the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival. Peter has played with chamber ensembles internationally and many South African composers have written works for him. His recording of the Six Bach Cello Suites was well received by the renowned Strad magazine.
