A number of relatives and fans of award-winning kwaito star Brickz believes he is innocent and should be granted bail. Brickz, whose real name is Sipho Ndlovu, is accused of raping a 16-year-old in March, but the rape was only reported last month, after which he was arrested and charged. He was denied bail in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court yesterday. Why is it that many jump to assumptions that the accuser is lying and a golddigger when the accused is a popular well known member of society.
