More rain expected for Central SA

Central South Africa can expect high chances of thundershowers throughout the weekend. Forecaster at the South Africa Weather Services’ Bloemfontein office, Tonie Rossouw says the wet conditions are expected to continue into early next week and begin dissipating from Tuesday onwards. Rossouw says this will give some of the drier areas in the region some much needed rainfall. This as many areas in the Northern Cape have been reported to be facing drought like conditions due to lack of rain. The weather forecaster explains that as a result of the rainfall patterns, temperatures will be cooler than usual, but will continue to be warm and even hot in some parts. Rossouw attributes this to the high energy air coming in from the tropics.
